AIO to launch major new initiatives at Optrafair

A great CET programme available on the AIO stand

The Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians (AIO) will launch two major new initiatives at Optrafair.

Eye Promise, the new quality mark for great eye health care in Independent Practice will go live and practices can sign up to the ‘5 Promises’ at the show. There are already a number of practices stretching the length and breadth of the country that have committed to sign up and AIO fully expects that Eye Promise will become the recognised mark for great eye health care. To learn more visit the AIO stand at H20, right beside the new Independents Lounge

The AIO Practice Support Network (PSN) will also be launched at Optrafair. PSN brings together AIO with Eyeplan, NEG, Specs Network and Myers La Roche to offer a great new service for aspiring Independents and those that are new to Independent practice. With the wide range of services and products and wealth of experience that these organisations will contribute, PSN will become the ‘go-to’ organisation not only for those that want to own and run their own practice, but also for those Independents that are looking to retire or do some succession planning. To find out more, come to the launch of PSN at 12.00 noon on Saturday at the Independents Lounge, or visit the AIO Stand at H20

AIO will also offer some great CET workshops on the AIO stand (H 20) during all three days of Optrafair. These include:

S-28930 Introduction to Visual Impairment

S-28931 Saving Sight, Supporting Sight Loss

C-55244 What can I see? Is it AMD

C-54511 Visual Skills Development – What is Behavioural Optometry?

There will also be a special pre-reg mock exams session for students on Sunday 15th April
