Recent studies have shown that patients with diabetes often have retinopathy located outside the traditional ETDRS fields. Given the importance of fully evaluating the peripheral retina, these interactive sessions will explore the importance of diagnostic equipment in the detection and management of diabetic patients.

Topics covered will include the advantages of combining OCT with ultra-wide fundus imaging, and anatomy in relation to the retinal layers. Common comorbidities such as hypertension, dyslipidaemia and cardiovascular disease which could present as ocular manifestations will also be discussed.

The sessions will feature interactive case study discussions, live retinal imaging demonstrations and opportunities for Q&A.
